A Toiletry Haul!
I know plenty of people do haul posts on their make up buys but there is still a lack of general beauty buy posts. I had to pick up a few things today so thought I‘d share them with you. I usually go to Boots or Superdrug depending on what area of town I'm in. Today it was Superdrug.
Simple Kind to Skin Cleansing Face Wipes. I would never dream of using any other cleansing wipes to take my make up off. I've found that these don't irritate my skin at all and do the job quickly and easily. They're also great for a quick brush spot clean or a make up touch up.
Colgate Max White One Active. I love this toothpaste. I always use a whitening one due to the amount of coffee I drink but I hate those baking powder ones that taste salty. This one is really minty and really does whiten. Not too sure about the ‘new look ‘ though, I liked the old box better!
Palmolive Soft and Gentle Extra Fresh Deodorant in Lotus and Watermelon. I usually change my deodorant up every time I buy a new one. I chose this one because its scent is lotus and watermelon and my God, its beautiful. Its a nice fresh scent though, not too overpowering.
L'Oréal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray in Diamond Shine. I love Elnett hairspray. I won't ever use another. It has fabulous hold with little weight to it and obviously, it brushes out too. I bought the diamond shine one this time which I have never used before but I am loving sleek hair at the moment, I thought the added shine would be great. I always get a handbag sized one to carry around with me.
Garnier Fructis Repair and Shine Restoring Shampoo and Conditioner. Again, I've never used this before. I've not found an amazing hair care that I swear by, so I tend to buy a different one every time. I bought this again for the shine factor. My hair isn't in bad condition at the moment but you can't over do it. It smells amazing, very fruity. It contains olive, avocado and shea oil so if this doesn't do it, nothing will!

An Ice Pack for your Face? No, thank you.
Another one of Superdrug's amazing range of 24 face masks all priced at 99p. This was set to be my favourite - The Exfoliating Ice Blast Gel Mask.

It boasts both spearmint oil and menthol, and also dead sea crystals. With results said to be along the lines of 'a refreshed, renewed and ultra clean complexion,' I expected big things from this. I adore mint, especially soap and with added menthol, I thought it would be fabulous for my still-there cold. I like a good exfoliator as my dry skin sometimes looks flaky. It all sounded good but this went down hill pretty quickly.
When I opened the sachet I was let down by the lack of minty smell. It did apply well and the dead sea minerals were certainly there. On the skin it didn't give me the mint-tingly feeling I was longing for and it smelt waxy when it was applied. It did exfoliate well and it washed off easily. I was really disappointed with this. Maybe the next one will be better?

Superdrug Cucumber Cooling Clay Mask, My New Love.
Another review from the Superdrug 99p face mask range. This is one is my favourite so far! Boasting 'dead sea minerals and cucumber extract this face mask will refresh and soothe skin.' Specially formulated for sensative skin, this was great for me. My overly sensative skin working great with this product.
As with the last mask from this range that I reviewed, it applied really well. With it being a clay mask, it dried on the skin and left me unable to move - but I like that! I left this on for the recommended time and I have to admit, I was a bit aprehensive about washing it off. Clay masks are known to be the hardest to take off but this mask washed off quickly and easily with warm water on a wash cloth. It left my skin looking and feeling great. It left my skin soft and plump and looking fresh and a lot more radiant.
I absolutely love this product. They're only 99p and there is something for everyone - including the men. I found that I only used about half of this product even though I covered my face and top part of my neck with a good, heavy coat. So if I was going to use this product again I think I would make sure I had a clean plastic pot to put the rest in for a second use. Two rounds of mask for 99p with such great results, how can these not be a hit?!

99p Face Masks are the Next Big Thing! A Quick Anti-Ageing Fix.
Superdrug have recently brought out a new range of face masks, all for 99p! There are 24 in the range including anti-ageing, self-heating, exfoliating, peel-off and even men's. There is something for everyone with cucumber, chocolate, fruit and licorice flavours.
The first one I tried was the Anti-Ageing Moisture Mask. It was very easy to apply - not too messy. I found two thinner coats was the best way to put it on. It was fabulous to put on just before getting into the bath, just to lay with it on. It was really soothing and felt cooling on my skin. It also rinsed off really easy too, which is a big plus for me. It left my skin feeling soft and hydrated and I finished off with a light moisturiser about 10 minutes after, to give it time to really soak into my skin. The next morning my skin still felt more moisturised than usual and still felt plumper and fresh. This lasted for the rest of the next day so it is a short term fix but I have read reviews from older women saying it really felt with the fine lines too!
For 99p this is a great short term fix for the wrinkles and for a great moisture boost! I don't think it will be too long before these really start getting raved about in the beauty community.

My Favourite Drug Store Make Up!
I live in the UK, so I have classed drug store as anything NOT high end - Boots, Superdrug etc. I found it really hard to pick 5 items and I did end up choosing 6, but even that was hard. These aren't the products I'd use from a drug store if I had no high end, these are my everyday make up items.
Left to right we have;
Prestige Skin Loving Minerals Sun Baked Bronzer in 03 Pure Shimmer. This is my all time favourite highlighter. Its perfect for my light skin but isn't too shimmery or glittery. I can wear this on it's own with some bronzer or with a blush and it always looks good. I also use this on my eyes and nose as well as my cheek bones. I cannot give it enough credit. It also lasts a super long time, I've had this one two years and it hardly seems to have gone down! Love, love, love.
Gosh Natural Touch Cream Blusher in 001 Peachy Rush. The only thing I hate about this product is that call it a blusher and not a blush - pet hate! Aside from that the colour, texture, wear and staying power of this blush is amazing. It's super bright but you can blend it really light so it's super versatile. For some reason I just haven't found a nice orangey coral blush anywhere so this is the one. I don't really use this as a base for blush but I can't see why it wouldn't work! For the price it's as good at the MAC Creme Colour Bases, for sure!
No7 Lipstick in Brigette (Limited Edition, Spring 2010). This is my all time favourite light pink lipstick. MAC's Hue is in the category of pinky nude. It's a really sheer colour but really buildable and makes your teeth look whiter! I don't know if this available now but I'm nearly out so will have to go and find out soon! It's quite a glossy lipstick too so you can just throw it on and you don't have to worry about a gloss. Great for spring on top of an SPF lip conditioner.
Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Ultimate Concealer in Medium 3. I have this in the colour that matches my foundation the best as I use this for blemishes. It is the best concealer you will ever find in a drug store. It's amazing for blemishes and under the eyes. IT doesn't cake, it stays all day and it really does cover everything!
Collection 2000 Glam CrystalsDazzling Gel Eyeliner in 07 Rock Chick. I love this eyeliner for my top lash line. I tend to wear it over a black just to make sure it's dark enough but it has great staying power and a great look for under £3! I only wear the black one though I own most of them. They are the prefect item to transition from day to night.
Make Up Academy Mascara in Shade 1. This is the clear gel I use for my brows - the bottom one to prove it! I use this every day without fail. It holds my brows and colour all day and is so quick and easy to apply. It costs £1, yes £1 from Superdrug. You need to check out the MUA range if you haven't before as it is AMZING. Some of the eyeshadows are up there with MAC and the colour range reminds me a lot of Illamasqua.
